Newly Appointed Program Director of HHSC Alpine Ski Racing Programs - Mark Archer, aka, "Speedy"

 Level 300 Certified USSA coach & Level 1 USSA Alpine Certified official/ref

Speedy brings with him to HHSC his more than 40 + years of successful ski race programming and coaching experience. To lead the HHSC program in becoming the top ski racing program in the midwest, as their Alpine Program Director for the forthcoming season 2017/18 and beyond. Speedy grew up at Buck Hill under coach Erich Sailer, making him a true midwesterner, and a great fit as our HHSC Alpine Ski Racing Program Director !! Speedy’s most recent coaching positions held during the years from 2006-2017:  MT. Hood Meadows Race Team (OR) Head Men's FIS/USSA Coach, Loveland Racing Team (CO) Alpine Program Mens/Womens U12-U21 Head Coach, Squaw Valley Ski Team (CA), Women's FIS Program Coach, Head FIS/USSA/U16-U21 program coach Snow Summit (CA), Head Women's U19-21 /FIS coach with NYSEF Whiteface MTN Lake Placid NY.,Program Director / Head Coach for his own Colorado Warriors Women's Private Ski Team based in Copper MTN. / Team Summit of Colorado, and this past 2016/17 Heading up the Alpine equipment program / Women's U19 FIS/USSA program at Carrabassett Valley Academy " CVA" in Sugarloaf Maine. Speedy has helped numerous young athletes realize theirdreams , goals and potential come true. From the junior level on to becoming members of their respective, USSA regional, US, Canada and Collegiate Ski Team programs. While competing for their National and Collegiate teams, several of his former athletes went on to become National, Olympic, World Championship team members, winning National titles, Collegiate titles, World Cup races, Olympic and World Championship medals. Notably Thomas Grandi the only Canadian Male skier to score a WC GS victory and W Champs Medal, making Thomas one of Canada's premier SL/GS skier's of all time.
